The higher education levels are implicitly relative to a <a href="http://sw.opencyc.org/2008/06/10/concept/Mx4rvVi3N5wpEbGdrcN5Y29ycA" class="cyc_term">FieldOfStudy</a>. One may be at <a href="http://sw.opencyc.org/2008/06/10/concept/Mx4rMFZWjnS7EdaAAACgyZzFrg" class="cyc_term">BachelorOfArtsLevel</a> with respect to one <a href="http://sw.opencyc.org/2008/06/10/concept/Mx4rvVi3N5wpEbGdrcN5Y29ycA" class="cyc_term">FieldOfStudy</a> and have a distinct education level for another. Most often, the stated education level is the highest the person has achieved. But, this is not guaranteed by the meaning of the constant. Such a <code>COL</code> corresponds to a property defined (at least partly) in terms of the contents, features, or implementation of the Cyc Knowledge Base itself, as opposed to a property that "exists out there" in the KB-independent world.
